Training Day
Border Counties and Cotswold Area of the URC is holding a Field Trial Training day on Wednesday November 11th at Elm Farm, Rockhampton, Gloucestershire by kind permission of Mr & Mrs M Goode. The day will be a training day based on driven shooting; it will not be walked up. The maximum number of dogs will be 10, if this number is exceeded a draw will be made including a reserve list. No dogs will be put out on the day; all will be given the opportunity to continue throughout the day. If dogs do commit a major or eliminating fault the reasons will be explained. Credit points will also be explained. Each dog will get the approximate number of retrieves you would expect in a Novice Retriever Trial. They will be set up if necessary. If possible, retrieves will be set up to illustrate various problems which may be encountered. The trainers will keep records as would a Field Trial judge. This will give trainees the opportunity to ask how a retrieve was assessed. For further information please send a SAE to: Mr F Wright, Rose Cottage, 3 Moseley Green, Parkend, Lydney, Glos GL15 4HN. |
