We held a sugar beet trianing morning on Sunday 7th August which despite the heat was a good morning's training and we've had some lovely positive comments.
We had to have a change of location due to the extreme weather and lack of rain, as some fields of beet have particularly suffered, but very kindly the Newton family at Lucking Farm in Maplestead were happy to allow us to return and make use of their beet.
We were fortuanate to have Rodger Ketley and Tom Lowe as two guest trainers who yet again have given up their Sunday mornings for the club, along with Roy Tomlinson and Mike Lawrence also taking a group.
A big thank you again to the Newton's, our trainers and not forgetting Clive and Aaron who came to thow dummies along with Paul, Mari and Cath from the committee helping on the morning.
