The weather was frosty and sunny on the morning of our first training and informal match of the year. Handlers brought 39 dogs to take part and the trainers in the morning were Hazel Barr, Sue Lowe, Martin Eveleigh and Ray Newell. We divided into three groups for the match in the afternoon which was judged by Ray Newell, Martin Eveleigh and Sue Lowe. Daren Cooper shadowed Sue to learn about judging, which is something we are keen to encourage members to do. Our thanks to the Nelthorpe Estate and keeper Gary Cookson for kindly allowing us to use the ground and to everyone who helped in any way during the day.
