Essex Area Activities 2024

The Summer Programme was sent out at the end of January with confirmed dates

Training classes 2024

There will be classes for puppy/starter, novice and  advanced novice/open dogs.

The classes are to help give you a guide so you can continue with your own training and build on it.  They give a starting point in retrieving, taking direction and what standard will be expected if you are entering working tests, trials or picking-up.

Dogs must be able to sit steady and quietly (no continual whining or barking) and be able to walk to heel both on and off lead, and come to recall.

If your dog is not yet to that standard these classes will not be suitable for you just yet.

You will need a whistle and slip lead (available to purchase from the club shop at the classes) and ideally have a game/dummy bag.

All training takes place outside so come appropriately dressed, and with suitable footwear as the ground may be uneven in places.

One dog per handler         No bitches in season

Please arrive for 9:30am to register for 10am start.

This will allow time to exercise your dog before the classes start.

You must be a fully paid up member of the URC to attend the training classes and all events
