13th July 2025
On Sunday 13th July 2025 we ran our Novice and Puppy Tests at Bullockdown Farm, Eastbourne, by kind permission of The Fenner Family. The day was made possible by the sterling efforts of our committee and helpers, who arrived super early this morning to help put up gazebos and water stations for competing dogs and competitors alike, which were much appreciated by all. It was a cooler morning with a lovely sea breeze, which was much welcomed. Without the tireless efforts of helpers and committee members, this would not have been possible. I know that all FT Secs say the same thing but our helpers are invaluable, so do give up your time to help your local club. You also learn a great deal from watching the various tests if you’re planning to compete .
Our wonderful judges for the day were Roger Wade (A), Kate Bollen, Gill Sweeting and Jaqueline Mason, who gave their time and expertise freely to judge for us - a big thank you to you all. They may be there to Judge you on the day but always give advice on how to improve.
No Puppy award given, but well done Frances Taylor with Fletchingly Keltie.
Novice Test:
1st Clare Jackman's Lab (D) Tanglefield Fig Winning The Quiltan Kerrie Trophy
2nd Sarah Haskoll's Lab (B) Folkington Flyte, winning The Claymore Cup as runner up
3rd Julia Peat's Lab (B) Anningtonbay Louisamay
4th Ian Hamilton's Lab B) Lonningend Lady Flora
Congratulations to all in the awards but also to those who took part. We appreciate your support and what better way to spend a day - a big thank you to one and all. Time for a glass of wine now and on to the next one!
