Bucks Area Training

TRAINING

We run regular training classes on the first Sunday of every month covering beginners right through to Open level. We have the use of a superb area of ground on the Crown Estate at Sunninghill, near Windsor, and we have access to water as well as a variety of wooded and open land.

We always have at least three classes: Puppy, Upper Puppy and Novice.

We welcome new and prospective members. If you have not been before then come along and introduce yourself and we will put you in an appropriate class.

You will need a slip lead, a whistle and a canvas dummy marked with your name. We can supply you with a dummy, a whistle and a slip lead as we have them for sale. All classes take place outside so, depending on the weather, you may need warm and waterproof clothing. Please wear sensible footwear as the ground underfoot may be uneven.

We meet at 1000 for a 1015 start. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, THE GATE CLOSES AT 1015.

From Windsor take the A332 to Ascot and Bagshot. Pass Windsor Great Park, Rangers Gate, on your left and continue through the pedestrian lights. You will reach a  roundabout at which you take the B383 for Sunninghill and Sunningdale. Stay in the left hand  lane. After approximately 0.7 of a mile, very shortly after a sign indicating a left hand bend in the road, go up a small hill and on the brow there is an automatic gateway on your right, with the sign Sunninghill Park, Crown Estate on one of the pillars. The gate  can be a little slow to open. There is a small thatched house immediately through the gate on your left. Follow the track around to the right alongside an open grass area. This is where we park.

You may exercise your dogs in the trees behind the parking area but after that please keep them on leads until you begin training. The tenant farmer has chickens that roam!
